- Maximize sales and gross profit through effective and creative merchandising
- Maintain department inventory by placing product orders regularly while adhering to departmental budgets
- Efficiently stock, rotate and display product in a neat and appealing manner - including watering, trimming and merchandising to ensure quality and freshness
- Ensure the proper set up of racks, tables, coolers, backroom areas and proper rotation of cooler stock
- Handle customer inquiries, requests and complaints in a prompt, polite and effective manner
- Comply with the store's established Health and Safety and Food Safety policies and ensure that staff members are also adhering to these policies
- Previous retail management experience, preferably in a Produce Department
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation, policies and practices
- Flexibility to work a variety of hours which include days, evenings, weekends and stat holidays

Description
Buy-Low Foods* has an opening for a *temporary Produce Manager* to join our store located in *Vancouver, BC. *This is a Full-Time position and reports to the Store Manager.Department Managers lead the team in their department to provide excellent customer service in our busy grocery store.
We are looking for a strong leader who has a passion for fresh food and who can efficiently oversee the daily operations of the Produce Department in terms of staffing, sales, customer service, merchandising, and product quality.
