Lead Hand - CWB Quality Supervisor


Weldco-Beales Manufacturing designs and manufactures specialized heavy equipment attachments for the construction, forestry, mining, scrap recycling, road maintenance and resource industries throughout Canada, the USA and internationally.

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Follow and enforce company policies and procedures and workplace safety
  • Perform inspections on completed welds to ensure compliance with applicable regulations
  • Complete and maintain database of nonconformance reports and engineering change requests
  • Participate in quality audits including CWB and ISO
  • Coordinate CWB testing with employees required to certify/recertify
  • Offer strong leadership through effective communication
  • Perform fitting and welding duties as required
  • Provide exceptional internal and external customer service
  • Maximize productivity and product quality
  • Other duties as required
  • Alberta Journeyman or Red Seal Certification in Steel Plate Fitting and/or Welding
  • Valid CWB Supervisor certification is an asset
  • Minimum of 5+ years welding and fitting experience
  • High School Diploma
  • Indepth knowledge of all tools and equipment in steel fabrication and welding operations
  • Supervisory training would be an asset
  • Supervisor experience would be an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Indepth knowledge of safety practices
