This position is responsible for the minor repair and maintenance of executive ministerial vehicles within VEMA's Shop Operations.


Conditions of Employment:

  • Must be able to provide and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check
  • Must be willing to obtain a Class 4 Manitoba Drivers License upon request
  • Must have the ability to obtain WHMIS Certification

Qualifications:

Essential:


  • General knowledge of Automotive equipment and minor vehicle repairs
  • Experience providing superior customer service to the public by phone and in person
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to demonstrate political acumen with complex issues
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to balance conflicting priorities and tight deadlines

Duties:


The incumbent performing this position is responsible to perform an executive service to Minister's and Deputy Minister's vehicles, including cleanups, fuel ups, shuttles and preventative maintenance services.

This incumbent is responsible to pick up and drop off parcels and is also responsible for the nightly closing of the facility.

On occasion, the incumbent may be required to assist other portions of VEMA's organization."
