Description

The Enterprise Risk Management Lead directs and guides Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations to ensure all risk management business strategies, objectives and initiatives are executed and delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

This position will report to the Manager of Sustainability.

This position must understand the challenges across the organization and identify the potential risks and hazards to the business and ensure that a robust monitoring and compliance program is in place.

This position requires a general knowledge of mining, milling, and smelting operations and strong organizational, motivational and leadership skills. Reporting to this position are the site Risk and Operational Integrity Leads.

Qualifications

Strategic and forwardlooking understanding of enterprise risk disciplines and concerns.
Ability to analyze and articulate business issues and identify key risks / mitigating controls.
Ability to work independently in a fast paced, teambased matrix environment.
Experience in leading a direct report team, and matrix the team members into site management team, while maintain strong influence of ERM project objectives
Experience in developing a strong, cohesive ERM team that is highly motivated, clear on objectives and delivers results
Postsecondary education preferably in a technical discipline (e.g., Engineering, Science, or equivalent) along with extensive postgraduate career experience
Successful Track record of leading a team in a large complex mining and mineral processing operation
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a similar Risk Management role within a largescale Mining, Minerals Processing, or other continuous processing environment
