    JOB PURPOSE
    The incumbent will be responsible for Corporate Sites' indirect Purchasing activities: Active in Supplier Selection & Rationalization, Cost Negotiations and Inventory Management. The buyer will execute purchases consistent with parameters set out by the budgetary and forecasting exercises to support business needs in addition to identify opportunities and implement initiatives to maximize efficiencies. Respond to the needs for procurement of goods and services to support Corporate functions requirements.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


    • Responsible for Corporate Sites Purchasing activities: Indirect Items

    • Active in Supplier Selection & Rationalization, Contract Management, Cost Negotiations and Inventory Management
    • Review of bid proposals and negotiating contracts within budgetary limitations and under the direction of the Purchasing Manager

    • Execute purchases consistent with parameters set out by the budgetary and forecasting exercises to support business needs

    • Identify opportunities and implement initiatives to maximize site efficiences

    • Provides direction, instructions and guidance to various departments/personnel as part of their role of Procurement Representatives at the respective site(s).

    • Monitor supplier performance

    • Sourcing & Procurement of Indirect Items and Services as requested

    • Monitor KANBAN/Min-Max to manage inventory levels (according to the department's requests/requirements)
    • Compiling data from vendor invoices and supporting documents in collaboration with the AP to verify the accuracy of billing data and ensuring receipt of items ordered.
    • Investigation and resolving billing discrepancies and transactions

    • Work with Strategic Sourcing on Site contract implementation & commercial management activities

    • Collaborates & provides guidance to Category Managers and Sourcing Specialists.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Post –Secondary Education in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration

    • SCMP / CPM accreditation an asset

    • Minimum 5 years' proven purchasing experience in a Corporate environment

    • Expert knowledge of Excel/Microsoft Office

    • Experience dealing with global supply chains

    • Knowledge of sourcing & procurement techniques

    • Experience using various MRP/ERP system (SAP)
