Accounts Receivable Clerk - MLTA-WPG

Our Winnipeg office is seeking an accounting professional to join our finance team for a 16 month term.

The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for timely and accurate processing of a high volume of daily client payments via electronic funds transfer, wire payment, direct deposit, Interac, cheque, cash and credit card.

This position will work as a member of our Accounts Receivable Team and requires regular communication with internal customers and external clients with respect to invoice and payment details.

*Reviewing online banking information for payment amounts and details

• Applying payments on customer accounts within firm service standards
• Handling internal and external account inquiries
• Handling of cheques and bank deposits
• Assisting clients with credit card payments via the telephone
• Coordinating work with other members of the Accounts Receivable Team
• Completing reconciliations including problem solving issues
• Strong organizational and administrative skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Working knowledge of an accounting and/or document management system would be considered an asset
• Experience in a professional services firm would be considered an asset
