    POSITION OVERVIEWThis is an intermediate/senior position intended to provide the successful candidate with an opportunity for professional growth within CEM Engineering.


    KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESSupport to Project ManagersMaintain Electrical Design hour budgetFollow project schedule to successfully complete project milestones on time.

    Coordinate with, and support Engineers as requiredCoordinate, lead and support Electrical Designers, as requiredCoordinate with, and support Mechanical Designers, as requiredCoordinate with, and support Sub-Consultants, as requiredAttend site visits as required to collect project informationAttend regularly scheduled project meetings and provide progress updates to the teamRun Internal and External 3D Model Reviews, as required in Navisworks SimulateAdheres to company policy, practice and proceduresMaintains confidentiality in regards to CEM information and their clients as required by Privacy Legislation and CEM Policies and Procedures.

    Coaches and mentors' less experienced team membersCreation/modification/review of the following Electrical deliverables (following CEM or Client standards):
    General Arrangements Equipment LayoutsCable Tray LayoutsConduit/Duct Bank LayoutsGrounding Layouts and DetailsSLD3 Line DiagramsCable Block DiagramsAC SchematicsDC SchematicsPanel LayoutsLogic DiagramsControl Architecture DiagramsLoop DiagramsPLC WiringInterdisciplinary review of CEM drawingsReview of Vendor DrawingsPFD as requiredP&ID as required


    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEDiploma in Electrical Engineering Technician or TechnologistExperience in the consulting engineering sectorMinimum 12-15 years' experience in industrial electrical designProficient use of 2D and 3D AutoCAD softwareFamiliarity with Navisworks software3D Modelling experience (without supervision), requiredHigh Voltage Experience is an assetWork with Electrical Modeling Software (EasyPower, ETAP, Paladin) is an assetSteam and Power experience desirableOTHER REQUIREMENTSSupport the Manager of Design Services with miscellaneous tasks including projects, Department and corporate requirements.

    Willingness to assist in setting/updating standards for the Design Services Department and always abide by them.
    Willingness to share his/her experience and knowledge with colleagues of different technical backgrounds.
    Willing to travel occasionally to job sites and other third-party offices.
