The opportunity
We are seeking an Experienced Hire Recruiter.

We call our human resources group the Talent Team, and this reflects how important our people are to the success of the EY organization.

Our Talent team develops and executes our people strategy, which provides the programs, measures and tools that help our EY member firms' employees achieve their goals.

Talent also develops and implements strategies for performance management, leadership development, learning, training tools, compensation, recruiting, new joiner orientation, reporting processes or other initiatives.


Your key responsibilities


The Experienced Hire Recruiter will spend most of their time independently driving the planning, coordination and delivery of recruitment for a specific business area or sub service area.

Partners, Directors and Senior Managers will look to you for best practices, market knowledge and the ability to source exceptional talent.

Additionally, you will act as an EY ambassador, embodying the EY culture and reputation.


Core elements of the role include

  • Delivering appropriate recruitment plans based on an understanding of recruitment methods and concepts.
  • Developing and executing on appropriate sourcing strategies, paying particular attention to diversity initiatives and creative sourcing techniques.
  • Learning and leveraging the firm's recruitment tools, processes and embracing the branding strategy in the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Collaborating with the practice and Canada People Team while using sound business judgment and outstanding communication skills to assist in the ultimate hiring decision.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • 2 or more years of fullcycle recruitment experience
  • Ability to quickly ramp up to independent account management of your recruitment portfolio.
  • A university degree and related business experience.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate recruitment practices, processes, and protocols as well as a broad understanding of EY's service lines.

Ideally, you'll also have

  • The ability to work independently in a fastpaced, dynamic, teamoriented environment.
  • Experience recruiting for tax, finance and or consulting professionals.
  • Prior experience from the professional services sector.
  • This role involves interaction with internal and external clients and professionals nationally and globally. Professional competency in the English language is therefore a requirement of this role. Bilingualism in both French and English is considered an asset.
