    As an Electrical Engineer, you'll be responsible for design, manufacturing, implementing, testing, troubleshooting and maintaining electrical/electronic systems for testing gas turbine engines and test facilities.

    The Test Facility Engineering Team is responsible for maintaining 51 global Engine Test Facilities, integrating new engine test platforms and sustainment activities for existing test facilities. StandardAero services engines from manufacturers including General Electric, Pratt and Whitney, Rolls Royce, and Honeywell plus others. Members of our team occasionally have the opportunity to travel to remote sites which include several . locations, Canada, the Netherlands, Singapore, UK and Australia.

    The selected candidate will be part of a team consisting of Electrical, Mechanical, Performance and Computer Engineers as well as Designers to create systems that are compliant, innovative, reliable, maintainable, and easy to operate.

    As the part of the Electrical group within this team, the selected candidate will have the need to take design documentation and transform it into electrical specifications.

    What you'll do :

  • Design and integrate electrical engine and facility control systems using PLC, instrumentation and custom design software.
  • Interpreting manuals and technical documentation to create requirements and specification for implementation.
  • Support current engine test cell engine/facility control systems including thrust/torque measurement systems, oil and water cooling systems, fuel storage, and fuel supply.
  • Work as an individual or part of a team to design, install, commission, test electrical/electronic systems to support operations.
  • Create and maintain project documentation including requirement specifications, acceptance test plans, detailed drawings and calibration and operation procedures.
  • What skills you will use:

  • 0-5 years of Electrical Engineering Design experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Knowledge of electrical and electronic system design and documentation processes
  • Strong organizational and decision-making capabilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technical skills
  • Willing and able to work in a fast pace and changing environment
  • Willing and able to travel (up to 35% of the time)
  • Driven by working in a team environment
  • Experience with electrical and electronic component selection, function and system design with a focus on accuracy, reliability and maintainability
  • Experience working with component-based systems requiring an understanding of the individual parts and their impact on the whole.
  • Experience in developing engineering specifications related to electrical and electronic systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in design, programming and maintaining control systems using PLC's and HMI's
  • Preferred Characteristics:
