, theAccounting Generalist will report to the Project Accounting Manager and will have a wide range of duties which ultimately focus on invoicing, accounts payable & receivable, and financial reporting. This will be a 12-month contract position with the possibility of extension.
What You'll Do:
The Accounting Generalist will be part of the Enterprises team
You will:
- Provide general accounting support
- Perform invoicing duties including:
- Client and project set up and maintenance
- Processing invoices in accordance with contract terms and billing requests
- Verification that billing information on all invoices is complete and accurate
- Preparing monthend billing reports
- Perform Accounts Receivable duties including:
- Processing client payments including deposits
- Maintaining accurate AR records
- Followup with clients to resolve issues and ensure payment
- Preparing and issuing monthly statements to clients
- Preparing monthend AR reports
- Perform Accounts Payable duties including:
- Vendor set up and maintenance
- Verifying accuracy of invoices received
- Posting and allocating expenses to proper accounts
- Reviewing and reconciling vendor statements
- Preparing monthend AP reports
- Assist in preparing financial reports and analysis as required
- Provide confidential, courteous, and professional service
- Complete other administrative duties related to the filing, maintenance, and retention of accounting records as assigned

Who You Are:
- You have 5+ years experience working in an Accounting role or related
- You make decisions and exercise independent judgment within defined parameters and in alignment with business objectives
- You can pivot and alter approach or recommendations to accomplish desired results
- You are not afraid to raise your hand when you need help or guidance
- You are trusted and provided freedom to work independently but also contribute to the overall team success
What You Should Bring:
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with QuickBooks or BST is an asset
- High motivation with resultsoriented focus
- Superior organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Ability to navigate confidential matters and manage sensitive data
- Valid Class G driver's licence
