Position Overview:


The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for ensuring high quality delivery of technology change, through evaluating and testing changes/releases for usability and functionality.

Incumbent will estimate, plan, and coordinate testing activities to ensure that quality issues and defects are appropriately identified, documented, tracked and resolved.


Responsibilities:


  • Validate that user expectations are archieved during the testing process.
  • Participate in software requirements gathering as it relates to testing procedures.
  • Develop test plans, cases, scripts and reports on mulitple projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Execute test cases and create and maintain accurate documentation regarding completed test cases.
  • Identify and log incidents and defects and retest fixes.
  • Review user requirement documents to ensure that requirements are testable.
  • Work with developers, business analysts and end user groups to identify/resolve issues with technology changes.
  • Lead defect triage for changes being implemented.
  • Provide support to end users and external stakeholders during their preparation for and execution of UAT in order to facilitate a successful UAT process by the client.
  • Experience in generating and analysing quality metrics and trends.
  • Provide system support to end users.
  • Working knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Ensure internal documentation is updated and reflects any program changes.

Qualifications:


  • IT Environment
  • Knowledge of the organizations total information technology environment including the complexities of operating in an outsourced model.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Project management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
