- Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition from a recognized university. Dietetic internship from an accredited program.
- Current full registration with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia (CDBC) and registration with Restricted Activities A and B.
- Two years of recent related longterm care experience or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
- Member of or eligible for membership in the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management
- Food Safe Certificate.
- Current First Aid Certificate

As the Dietician, you ensure optimal nutritional care for all residents by conducting assessments, providing ongoing follow-up, and offering professional guidance to the Food Services Department.
About The Role
In this role, you'll spearhead the development, execution, and assessment of residents' nutritional needs, fostering an environment that upholds their autonomy, independence, dignity, and privacy.
You'll collaborate closely with the Food Services team to establish and maintain comprehensive records, ensuring adherence to nutritional and therapeutic requirements.
Additionally, you'll champion a nutrition and food services audit program in alignment with the Medical Health Officer's standards while leading quality improvement initiatives.
Serving as a knowledgeable resource for the community, you'll provide guidance on nutrition, swallowing disorders, caloric intake, and more, facilitating education for team members in partnership with the education team.
Located along the beautiful shores of Okanagan Lake, in the heart of stunning Okanagan Valley, Kelowna is an inviting community in which to live and work.
Your role will serve our three communities in the Village at Sun Pointe, Mill Creek Village and Smith Creek Village.
