    Share your skills, confidence and initiative in this energizing role to support the Parliamentary Secretary for Gender Equity to lead work to ensure that British Columbia is an inclusive and equitable place to live.


Under the Pay Transparency Act (Act), the Gender Equity Office (GEO) is building a new Pay Transparency Unit (Unit) that will support B.C.

employers to meet their obligations under the Act.

The Unit will receive and respond to enquiries by employers and employees, monitor and track non-compliance, produce annual reports and review the effectiveness of the Act.


Reporting to the Director of Operations in the Unit, the Client Management Coordinator is responsible for maintaining collaborative partnerships with employers and other community partners to ensure the effective implementation of the Act, including communicating the legislation's goals and objectives to employers, employees and key partners.


The position develops and leads education and training initiatives to support employer compliance with the Act, along with employee awareness initiatives, and evaluates the effectiveness of these initiatives.

The position develops and designs print and online resources including information bulletins, website content, PowerPoint presentations, webinars, reports, and more.


The position provides issues management support by identifying current and emerging issues that impact the GEO's goals, objectives and work areas and recommends and develops appropriate responses.


Job Requirements:


Education and Experience:

  • Postsecondary degree in Public Administration, Business, Social Sciences, Communications, Marketing or related field and one (1) year of the *related experience;
    OR:
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and related experience may be considered.
  • Related experience must include all of the following:
  • One (1) year of experience collaborating with internal and external groups and partners.
  • One (1) year of experience in project planning or project management.
  • One (1) year of experience in developing and delivering training and awareness initiatives, including webinars and presentations.
  • One (1) year of experience writing and editing a variety of internal and external communication materials (i.e. speaking notes, new releases, engagement plans).
  • Experience working in the BC Public Service.
  • Experience in using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro).
