Description:
The Student Residences team at Spaces & Experiences oversees and operates undergraduate and graduate student housing on the St. George campus.
Our residences include Chestnut Residence, Oak House, Graduate House, and Knox Residence, as well as Campus One, a residence affiliated with the University.
An additional residence is also currently in development. Our residences offer a supportive and dynamic living-learning environment that fosters academic success, personal growth, and lasting connections.
Reporting to the Dean of Residence & Director, Student Life, the Manager, Residence Admissions (MRA) is responsible for overseeing admissions policy and process for all our student residences, ensuring occupancy and revenues are optimized throughout the calendar year.
The MRA works collaboratively with other staff to develop marketing and communication strategies and materials to promote interest in living in residence.
The incumbent is also responsible for data analysis and reporting for senior management.
The Manager, Residence Admissions is also responsible for hiring, leading, and managing staff to ensure an exceptional experience for students throughout the admissions cycle.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of four (4) years' experiencein residence life, student affairs, housing administration, or related field, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
- Demonstrated experience in admissions management, preferably in a higher education setting, with a track record of optimizing occupancy and revenues.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing marketing and communication strategies to promote student residences or similar services.
- Experience with budgets, financial analysis, and forecasting, with a focus on revenue optimization.
- Previous experience in human resources management, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and conflict resolution.
- Experience in developing and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders, including students, staff, faculty, and external partners.
- Experience in project management, with the ability to plan, execute, and evaluate the success of initiatives within established timelines.
- Knowledge of undergraduate and graduate student recruitment and enrollment processes in higher education.

- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools, with the ability to generate insights, trends, and forecasts to inform decisionmaking.
- Customer service orientation with a commitment to delivering an exceptional experience to students, families, and other stakeholders.
- Adaptability and resilience in a fastpaced environment, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and embrace change.
- Technical proficiency in relevant software systems, including StarRez and Microsoft Office suite.
