Reporting to the Director of Business Technology, the Manager, Business Technology & Data is responsible for the leadership of the Business Application Support team and development of a new data analytics strategy and team to provide excellent support services to functional teams across the organization.


WHAT YOU GET TO DO:

  • Develop and implement an Electric data management and analytics strategy, governance and roadmap in alignment with corporate IT framework and platform
  • Build relationships and collaborate with various groups including Engineering, Operations, Projects & Construction, Customer Experience and Global IT
  • Collaborate with the Manager, Process Performance to optimize the business support model including request and incident management, outage communications, enhancement prioritization, etc.
  • Identify strategies to increase business value from IT assets and prepare business cases to justify required investments or changes
  • Monitor business metrics to ensure targets are met and identify trends and issues
  • Provide visible leadership to ensure compliance with corporate policies and best practices related to Health, Safety and Environment
  • Support annual business planning to proactively budget for required resources, tools and expenses to support the team, completes monthly forecasts and achieves financial targets

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Information Technology or Utilities Professional and Leader with post secondary degree or diploma in a related field
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of IT or Utilities experience, preferably with experience in providing operational support of IT systems
  • Experience and knowledge of Service Now or other IT service and knowledge management systems
  • Proven ability to manage and resolve conflict.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship development skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong business knowledge in the utility & regulated environment is an asset
  • Proven leadership skills & ability to coach supervisors, professionals & inscope employees
  • Strong technical knowledge in information technology best practices and data management
  • Follows all policies and procedures.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with corporate IT department to provide multitiered IT support model
