As the Dining Room Supervisor, you will work closely with the Dining Services Manager to ensure each resident and guest preferences and needs are being met.

You will have the chance each day to positively impact lives by ensuring that every Touchmark resident and guest has an exceptional dining experience, every time.

You will hire, lead, mentor, and develop our team of dining room staff, teaching them proper dining room etiquette, meal handling procedures, and customer service skills so that every experience in our dining room meets and exceeds the Touchmark Gold Standard.

You will also be responsible for scheduling and budget oversite.

  • Demonstrate success in managing and motivating a team of employees
  • Ability to work and make decisions in high pressure situations
  • Experience with training and scheduling team members
  • Possess the knowledge and ability to follow State and Federal regulations to meet all requirements and resident's rights
  • Possess or willing to get an Alberta Government approved Food Safety Certificate and a Liquor staff training certificate.
  • Be willing to work weekends, evenings, holidays and special events
  • Be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid certification

Responsibilities:


  • Create wait staff scheduling and assist in front and back of house scheduling and reports as needed
  • Work collaboratively with Dining Room Manager & Executive Chef to enhance the dining experience and improve the company's profitability
  • Help maintain appropriate payroll budgeting and scheduling of servers
  • Assist in managing kitchen and dining staff to achieve customer service and financial goals of dining department
  • Help create a positive work environment in order to maintain low staff turnover
  • Assist in coordinating front and back of house staff to create a seamless flow
  • Be responsible for training and development of new wait staff
  • Provide appropriate coaching to employees so they can perform job duties effectively
