    Regional HSE Manager

    Regional HSE Manager
    Salary Range: $125,000 - $140,000 per annum

    Asthe Regional HSE Manager you will provide support and direction to the Health,Safety and Environmental functions of Drax in order to establish a "SafetyFirst" culture within the organization.

    Youwill provide overall management on safety issues, as well as being expected tocontribute at the regional level in order to identify priorities and recommendsolutions to support the business and overall safety objectives.

    Inthis position, you will be boots on the ground with frequent site tours in allareas of the plants within Northern Operations.

    Aboutyou
    Asan ideal candidate, you would hold a Bachelor's degree in safety/environmentalsciences, occupational health and safety management, environmental health,environmental engineering or public health or related field and 10 years ofexperience in operations, maintenance and engineering (preferred).

    Asthe Regional HSE Manager, you are an organized leader with analytical andproblem-solving skills and has the ability to communicate at all levels of theorganization and mentor, coach, encourage and hold people accountable and sethigh standards in all aspects of the department's work.

    Aboutthe Role

  • Create a "Safety First" culture
  • Support and implement the company safety and environmental culture and policies
  • Encourage teamwork at all levels of the organization, particularly across functions and empower individuals to make a contribution
  • Engage plants in safety issues and set high personal standards through a highly visible, hands-on management style
  • Through written policy and procedures ensure regular emergency responses at production sites are effective and managers are prepared at all times
  • Working with VP, design and oversee drills,
  • Maintain safety statistics and create reports that reflect the performance of the site to relevant parties such as, upper management
  • Responsible for the implementation of safety policies and safety documentation
  • Working with the VP, responsible for driving continuous improvements in safety performance
  • Assists in the development of management systems
