Position Title

  • Operations Coordinator, Career Education and Experience Development
    Position Summary
  • We are seeking a fulltime termcertain Operations Coordinator to join the Career Education and Experience Development team until June 28, 202
  • The Operations Coordinator, Career Education and Experience Development (CEED) assumes responsibility for coordination of the successful delivery of plans, projects, and initiatives within the CEED Centre. The Operations Coordinator will coordinate the implementation of activities based on decisions at the Associate Dean level, including planning, routing, scheduling, and providing strategic advice to Staff, Faculty, Students, and Placement Sites.

The Operations Coordinator contributes to strategic and operational planning, develops business cases, prepares proposals, writes reports and coordinates a variety of Centre projects.

In addition, the Operations Coordinator provides direction on policy compliance, participates in risk assessment and management activities, monitors operational budgets, and acts as the connector for the Centre.

The Operations Coordinator ensures the business operations of the Centre function in a collaborative and highly efficient manner.
Position Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and implements the work of the CEED Centre, ensuring competing priorities are scheduled in advance and advise the Associate Dean and Operations Manager to identify, articulate and act on priorities
  • Is responsible for the successful implementation and/or maintenance of associated software required for effective operation
  • Leads and coordinates the work of the CEED Centre, planning the logistics to facilitate the completion of the work associated with RDP's cycles of budget planning, operational planning, annual reporting, etc.
  • Provides leadership by directing and assigning the dayto day operations, disseminating information, providing feedback, and advising for team members of the CEED Centre in collaboration with the Associate Dean, Development Consultant, and Operations Manager
  • Coordinates all areas of hiring and the employee lifecycle, in collaboration with the Administrative Assistant and Operation Manager, while ensuring personnel contracts are issues in accordance with various collective agreement requirements
  • Leads collaboration with other internal departments to complete key project initiatives, such as Marketing and Communications, Registrar's Office, and Schools
  • Provides supervision and project management for Work-Integrated Learning students assigned to the CEED Centre
  • Monitors operating and personnel budgets for the Centre
  • Coordinates the implementation of approved budgets including personnel, capital, operations, special projects & renovations, in collaboration with the Associate Dean, Operations Manager, and service areas
  • Completes other budgetary tasks, such as tracking events, reporting on status of positions, etc.
  • Actively participates in training and professional development activities as they become available

Required Qualifications

  • Four (4) year undergraduate degree, or three (3) year undergraduate degree plus one full additional year of university in a related program representing four years of study or equivalent.
  • 35 years project management experience

  • Strong leadership and teambuilding skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship building, and conflict resolution skills

    Benefits and Compensation Information
  • An additional 15% of the hourly rate in lieu of vacation, statutory holidays and benefits.
