Construction Site Supervisor
The Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and directing all day-to-day construction operations that occur on the jobsite. You would be responsible for daily coordination, scheduling of trades, and site logistics.

You are also responsible for both quality and cost control as well as the safety of all workers on site.

Must always maintain an organized and clean jobsite.

Site Supervisor should be detail-oriented problem solvers with the ability to meet deadlines and work with various personality types.

Must also require strong oral and written communication skills and must have the ability to keep organized records and documentation of all site activities.


Duties include but not limited to:

  • Review and understand in detail the contract documents, drawings, and specifications
  • Work with Project Manager to understand the general obligations of each subcontractor
  • Work with Project Manager to create and maintain site logistics plan
  • Work with Project Manager to create preliminary construction schedule
  • Participate in meetings with consultants and subcontractors to review drawings and identify conflicts
  • Record pertinent site information in daily construction reports
  • Prepare and submit weekly site progress reports
  • Continually monitor and expedite the construction schedule
  • Document and notify subcontractors in writing when scheduled commitments are not met
  • Update project schedule with Project Manager as required
  • Host coordination meetings with subtrades on a weekly basis
  • Monitor workmanship and installation details of individual trades
  • Coordinate and schedule all required inspections
  • Ensure work requiring inspection is not concealed prior to sign offs
  • Prepare and submit Requests For Information (RFI's) when required
  • Maintain a record of asbuilt conditions where items differed from the drawings
  • Keep records as to why the installations differed from the drawings
  • Forecast required forces and materials for site activities performed by own labour forces
  • Schedule and monitor work required by own labour forces
  • Record descriptions & durations of all activities performed by own labour forces
  • Complete material takeoffs and coordinate purchase and delivery of required items for use by ownforces
  • Continually monitor site safety and take immediate action to rectify all emerging safety deficiencies
  • Maintain site safety as per MOL, and Beco Development's standards
  • Ensure all MOL required postings and documentation is on site, maintained and updated
  • Ensure first aid kit, emergency evacuation plan, and other sitespecific requirements are established
  • Ensure all subcontractors have received the proper safety orientation upon arrival to site
  • Ensure all workers on site have proper and current training certifications
  • Complete weekly safety inspections and toolbox talks
  • Complete monthly first aid and fire extinguisher inspections
  • Participate in monthly JHSC meetings
  • Complete incident reports as necessary

The following qualifications are required:

  • 5+ years on construction experience
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
  • Ability to operate equipment such as skid steer, mini ex, boom lift, etc
  • Ability to operate power tools
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Full G license and clean drivers abstract

Salary:
$90,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
