  • The Office of the Registrar is excited to be hiring 3 Project Coordinator positions. 1 Full Time (1.0 FTE) position (April 15 to June 30, 2024)
  • 2 Part Time (0.50 FTE) positions (April 15 to June 30, 2024)


Reporting to the Dean of Enrolment Management and Registrar, the Project Coordinator will lead and manage the planning, design, implementation, and assessment of the Slate project within the Office of the Registrar as guided by the project sponsor.

The project will be highly collaborative and will involve a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

The Project Coordinator will display a high degree of initiative and the ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve high-end results.

This individual utilizes analytical skills, flexibility, and creativity to support decision-making in serving the strategic and operational objectives for the project.

They will coordinate project planning, communication, timelines, and reporting as needed and keep project sponsors and other stakeholders apprised of project progress.

The Project Coordinator will play a critical role in ensuring project success.
Position Responsibilities

  • Collaborates on the functional design, development, and implementation of the Slate product for eAdmissions
  • Assesses current business process and proposes changes
  • Develops documentation including test plans and training resources
  • Delivers training to employees.
  • Recommends and revises policy and procedures to align with business process.
  • Provides project management expertise
  • Contributes to design and planning; implementation and completion; and assessment of the project.
  • Ensures project milestones are met according to timelines
  • Identifies issues and solutions while providing advice on project progression
  • Acts as a liaison with external stakeholders and project team members to monitor project progress and success.
  • Mentors external parties/partners regarding applicable RDP processes and practices
  • Leads collaborations with other internal departments to complete key project initiatives, such as Information Technology Services and departments within the Office of the Registrar
  • Develops project related documentation including, but not limited to, project plans, scheduling updates and revisions, critical path, proposals, test plans, training plans, project deliverables, agenda packages, minutes, etc.
  • Proactively and independently conducts necessary research, liaising with internal and external contacts to gather necessary information in anticipation of each meeting
  • Presents project completion summaries to project sponsors and department heads
  • Organizes meeting logistics such as scheduling, room booking, catering, etc. (this may be delegated to other administrative support)

Required Qualifications

  • Four (4) Year Degree (an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered)
  • Project management experience is required
  • Experience developing resources to deliver training to employees
  • Ability to champion and lead change; a proactive, collaborative, resultsoriented style
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, everchanging, fastpaced environment with multiple demands, competing priorities and numerous deadlines
  • Ability to use and interpret complex data to accurately advise and inform decision makers
  • Able to advance multiple operational initiatives and decision points within established timeframes and budgets
  • Strong leadership and teambuilding skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship building, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to exercise good judgement and discretion, and maintain confidentiality
  • Effective organizational, time management, and planning skills
  • Excellent oral, written, and technical skills
  • Proven ability to determine priorities, be selfdirected, and work with mínimal supervision
  • Knowledge and awareness of the operation of a postsecondary institution is preferred

    Benefits and Compensation Information
  • An additional 15% of the hourly rate in lieu of vacation, statutory holidays and benefits.
