Description
Finance Assistant + Bookkeeper


Duties:


  • Assist with accounts payable and receivable tasks
  • Maintain accurate records and communication with suppliers, vendors and staff
  • Reconcile bank statements and perform account analysis
  • Assist with monthend and yearend closing procedures
  • Utilize accounting software (Stone Profits System) to record financial transactions
  • Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting
  • Monthly tax remittances and HET reporting
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information
  • Assist staff with invoicing, credits, POS, etc. related tasks

Skills:


  • Proficient in accounting principles and practices
  • Experience with accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Familiarity with accounting software (eg. Quickbooks, SPS)
  • Ability to perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to create, organize, interpret, analyze and read financial data and legal documents
  • Ability to perform time management skills (schedules, timelines, task prioritization).
  • Highly proficient PC skills including a proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Assistant + Bookkeeper to join our team. Reporting to the CEO, Vice President, Finance Manager and GM at Western Marble & Tile Ltd. the Finance assistant/bookkeeper will assist in the areas of Accounting related duties. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about accounting and wants to gain hands-on experience.

Salary:
$32,163.21-$45,100.00 per year
