Description

Eastward Energy Incorporated is seeking a well-rounded individual to join our team as a
Technician, Distribution within our Operations Group located in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

This position reports to the Lead Technician, Distribution.

The Technician, Distribution performs duties related to the operation and maintenance of the natural gas pipeline systems and associated equipment.

Some of the tasks performed include gas piping, pressure control, instrumentation, gas measurement, system integrity, line locating, customer service calls, meter read verifications/meter replacements, and emergency response.

A strong mechanical aptitude and dexterity when using tools, equipment, and instruments;
Values a safe working culture and adheres to safety regulations;
Excellent communication skills, decisionmaking skills, and a strong work ethic;
Uses sound judgement and maintains motivation and performance when working independently while still being a team player;
Flexibility working outside standard workhours when required, including oncall responsibilities;
A valid Province of Nova Scotia Class 5 driver's license, and
Proficiency in working with various software systems, including Microsoft Office suite.
