Key Responsibilities:


  • Produce digital news stories for Noovo Info accounts
  • React quickly to breaking news and important stories, collaborating to produce content for Noovo Info accounts
  • Propose and develop original topics for coverage; strong ability to move beyond the news
  • Present news stories on television and digital platforms, in both video and written formats
  • Shoot, edit and produce news stories
  • Collaborate on managing Noovo Info's social media and digital content
  • Follow editorial standards and guidelines for accuracy, ethics, and legal issues
  • Perform other assigned tasks

Critical Qualifications:


  • Proven experience in news reporting and ability to produce content on tight deadlines
  • Ability to shoot and edit video news stories
  • Strong writing, storytelling, and knowledge of local, national, and international news and current events
  • Good oncamera presence
  • Indepth knowledge of social media, codes used, and best practices
  • Understanding of digital performance data and ability to draw useful conclusions
  • Proven organizational skills and ability to work independently under tight deadlines
  • Good editorial judgment and demonstrated ability to produce original news stories
  • Ability to adapt to new and emerging technologies
  • Knowledge of iNews and AEM is an asset
  • Knowledge of Photoshop is highly recommended
