The Role:


The Product team at Medcan is accountable for driving double digit growth for a large portfolio of strategic, client-centric offerings.

In this full-time role, you will manage the P&Ls for Medcan's Specialty Services, including but not limited to Audiology, Endoscopy, Travel Health, Women's Health, and Child and Youth.

In this role you will own all aspects of the product lifecycle to ensure revenue growth, profitability, and superior client satisfaction goals are met.

You will work closely with teams across the organization, including Sales, Technology Services, Marketing, Finance, Clinic Operations and Physicians.


The Accountabilities:

  • Manage business performance of the product portfolio to achieve or exceed budget, including monitoring results and KPIs, facilitating issue resolution to keep on track, and ensuring demand/capacity targets are met
  • Define / refresh the product roadmap(s), including setting and managing the annual budget, with a focus on growing the Women's Health offering at Medcan and refreshing / establishing a pediatrics offering
  • Partner with clinical directors to design / implement new service offerings based on a deep understanding of client needs and operations, technology and marketing (e.g., introduce new offerings to leverage idle days in the endoscopy clinic)
  • Manage ongoing positioning of the product/service offering, including pricing and product enhancements
  • Assess / define requirements to deliver a client experience aligned to the value proposition
  • Liaise with Sales and Marketing to develop and execute strategies for acquisition, retention and crosssell (e.g., promoting the Travel clinic as Covid restrictions ease and travel resumes)
  • Develop robust financial models to assess the viability of products and services
  • Liaise with Operations (business and clinic) and Sales to support demand and capacity management and achieve plan; monitor provider schedules to ensure adequate capacity
  • Support strategic initiatives as needed, such as business cases and analysis and executivelevel presentations

The Requirements:

  • Undergraduate and/or Master's degree in Business or other relevant field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in either Product Management, Healthcare, or Management Consulting
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently to deliver results on a timely basis with mínimal supervision
  • Ability to conduct detailed analysis and draw meaningful insights to enable decision making
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting and business case development
  • Excellent organization, project management and communication skills
  • Solution oriented and comfortable with ambiguity; able to identify a problem and influence effectively at all levels to rally support for a solution
  • Ability to lead cross functional teams to solve complex problems and drive strategic projects
  • Demonstrated understanding of how to effectively manage people through change
  • Skilled at working under pressure and adapting to change


This is a permanent, full-time, hybrid position, which will have a hybrid work set-up with opportunity to work from home 3 days/week and in the office at our 150 York St location in downtown Toronto 2 days/week.
