Summary


If you are believe that you have the ability to sell eco-friendly and innovative products which can save the customers significant amounts of money, and are motivated to take on challenges alongside a team at a Greentech manufacturing startup, with an ability to take home a large paycheck determined solely on your own results, this is the job for you.

The Terracore Plastics Company fully believes that skills and degrees are not necessarily correlated. A bachelors is not necessary for this job, however a highschool degree or equivalent is needed.


Location
Vancouver and surrounding areas (Surrey, Langley, etc.)


Pay
Commission-based pay per pound of EcoFlake flooring flake sold. Pay could exceed $150,000 per year, as projected regional volume is well over 1.5 million pounds. Please reach out if you have questions regarding pay.


Hours / Environment
Working mainly independently with weekly, monthly, and occasionally daily communication with the Head Office sales team.

Flexible Hours:
Monday-Friday depending on customer (contracting and distribution companies) availability.


Responsibilities and Duties (Day-to-Day Activities Included)

  • Execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales goals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with customers with the support of sales department.
  • Work collaboratively with the sales manager to ensure customer satisfaction and timely delivery of product.
  • Maintain and update records of sales activities and customer interactions in our customer relationship management (CRM) system.
  • Primarily engage in cold calling, door knocking and presentations.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of sales techniques and best practices is preferable
  • Previous sales experience is an asset
  • Valid driver's license and transportation

Skills that you will learn

  • Communication skills: You will learn to communicate effectively with the EcoFlake's specific demographic of potential customers, understand their needs and preferences, and explain the benefits of your products or services.
  • Negotiation Skills: In the case that negotiation is necessary for large contracts, sales management will involve themselves to help negotiate on your behalf as well as well as coach on negotiation tactics.
  • Time Management: Salespeople need to manage their time effectively to meet sales goals, prioritize tasks, and follow up with customers in a timely manner.
  • Relationship building: Building strong, longlasting relationships with customers is essential in sales. You will learn to cultivate relationships with customers, listen to their feedback, and provide excellent customer service.
  • CRM training: You will also gain experience using a customer relationship software (CRM) system.
  • Adaptability: Sales is an everchanging field, and you will need to be able to adapt to changes in the market and season, shifts in customer preferences, and new sales strategies and techniques. You will learn how to be flexible, adaptable, and open to new ideas and approaches.
  • Leadership: Successful salespeople may have the opportunity to be a sales manager, as well as obtain stock options.
