Role Title - Logistics & Sales Coordinator

Profarm Livestock Solutions and Western Ag Supply Inc. (WAGS) are leading providers of animal nutrition and feed ingredients in Western Canada and Montana.

Given the continued expansion and merging of these 2 businesses, we are looking to add a Logistics & Sales Coordinator to manage the Saskatoon warehouse and service customers to drive further growth of our ingredient sales out of our Saskatoon location.


Serving monogastric and ruminant producers for over 25 years, these businesses are focused on maximizing clients' net returns by providing industry leading expertise in the fields of nutrition, production management, input cost reduction and research.

This position is based out of our Saskatoon, SK warehouse and office.


Key Functions:


  • Coordinate general office and warehouse functions
  • Form relationships with existing customer base and interact with new customers to help them understand the value of the product and service offering of the business
  • Support administrative and other business duties for Saskatoon, and remotely for our other business locations. This includes completing standard operating procedures for receiving and shipping, bill of ladings, and inventory control
  • Taking customer orders and setting up pickups, deliveries and logistics to provide ingredients to customers in a timely manner. Communicating with clientele to provide top notch customer service
  • Managing accurate inventory at the Saskatoon location
  • Managing shipping and receiving of products and using forklift to load and unload suppliers and customers
  • Organization of warehouse
  • Maintain relationships with customers and relay sales and nutritional concerns and opportunities to sales and nutrition staff


This position both coordinates most activities at this location and also supports the activities of our sales and nutrition team that provide service to our customers in the area.


Abilities Required:


  • Strong communication and customer service skills in person and over the phone.
  • Proficiency in administrative duties such as completion of shipping and receiving documents, inventory control, filing, and other general admin duties
  • Ability to operate a forklift and load and unload customers/shipments in a controlled, safe manner
  • Ability to operate independently to manage client relationships and solicit new business
  • Experience working with Sage50 or other accounting software is a benefit

Qualifications:


  • Minimum of a Grade 12 High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience using office accounting systems
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift
  • Experience in the agriculture industry, ideally related to livestock feed
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote).

Salary:
$21.00-$25.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

  • Bonus pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Saskatoon, SK: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
