The Opportunity:


The incumbent provides office managerial support to the Manager, Environmental Services and Sustainability as well as some support to other managers within the Digital and Client Services portfolio at the IWK Health Centre.

The incumbent functions as a primary point of contact for the Manager responding to general information requests related to the office or referring calls to others as appropriate.

Provides confidential administrative service with high quality of organizational and communication skills to assist and support the Manager in ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the office on a daily basis.


Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday: 8:30-16:30


Your Qualifications:


  • Minimum grade 12 or GED, required.
  • Graduate of a recognized Secretarial or Office Administration Diploma Program required.
  • Minimum three years experience in a related administrative/clerical role required. A combination of equivalent education and experience may be considered.
  • High regard for quality and attention to detail required.
  • Keyboard skills 60 wpm required.
  • Manages general office operations such as supplies management, equipment maintenance, key control, liaison with support services, i.e. audio visual and printing, food and nutrition services, environmental services, etc.
  • Competent in the use of various office equipment (e.g. fax, copier) required.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, prioritization and time management skills required.
  • Selfmotivated with the ability to work with mínimal supervision required.
