What you bring to the team.


The mission of a National Shop Supervisor is to develop and grow local business prospects for MRE products and customers in Canada with the Service Sales Manager and shall work within the sales and service matrix organization, in close cooperation with the other company departments, to ensure all Parts and Services business is followed through to the end customer.

This individual is the primary service contact for our internal and external customers.

The supervisor has the full responsibility for Service sales results, Service profitability, Service cost control and Aftermarket customer satisfaction for his/her cost center.


Your main responsibilities.

  • Personnel Focused Tasks_:
  • Schedule and train all employees' based on company guide lines.
  • Coach and Mentor new and experienced employee's to ensure we have safety and quality built into every process and repair.
  • Develop a team spirit and stable work environment to support our business needs and their personnel growth
  • Annual review of service personnel's work abilities/performance and future training requirements

Environmental Focused Tasks:

  • Daily Safety Talks with all Crews
  • OSH Works training and reporting to the company's standards.
  • ISO 9002, 14001 and 18000 compliance and process approvals.
  • Shop Health and Safety audits to be complete daily.
  • Responsible to ensure that shop safety practices are adhered to including environmental quality
  • Responsible to oversee any heavy lifts to maximize safety
  • Work with and look at ways to improve our current ISO work processes and procedures
  • Train and mentor your team on Safety, ISO 9002, 14000 & 18000 requirements based on the company model.
  • Financial Focused Tasks:_
  • Submit a progress month end report summary (ongoing job status ,due by 25th of every month including a summary of problems)
  • Financial monthly managing of the Central Service shop variance according to fiscal year budget.
  • Managing the shop functional costs effectively and ensure the recovery meets the set targets
  • Work with Planner in an effort to control cost during the rebuild or repair processes
  • Provide quotes to our customers for potential work to be performed by the service department
  • Build a core team to meet the customer requirements with an average of 82% utilization and lower service cost.
  • Monitor service recoveries weekly and ensure properly posted to correct accounts (hours, travel, consumables, ect)
  • General Tasks:_
  • Schedule daily work in shop repairs and Manage Monitor for time entry
  • Responsible to ensure that all documents required are filled out
  • Support Planner with job requirements including outside supplier quotations
  • Support leads for job planning and quality control
  • Responsible for quality of all products and work being completed
  • Responsible for Time allocation on a daily basis
  • Responsible for maintaining shop equipment and tools including all shop supplies
  • Executing the planned every day's work load and attending meetings with planner to schedule work requirements
  • Responsible for all parts ordered by mechanics
  • Responsible for external repairs ,defining a scope of work
  • Work with the Planner and the Product Manager National Shop in quoting request from our customers
  • Five to Seven years in a field service /technical and service related experience.
  • Must be a certified licensed electrician and/or mechanic
  • Good written and computer based skills, (quotations, reports, meeting minutes, summaries)
  • This position requires excellent verbal communication and interaction skills.
