What You'll Be Doing:
You will be a welcomed member of the Retirement team, working in a fast-paced environment where you will make a meaningful difference in residents' lives.
As an individual and part of a wider team, you will be a strong contributor to the culture of the home, where the focus is always on helping residents live fully, every day.
How You'll Succeed:
Provide Thorough Cleaning within the Retirement Home:
- Receive assignments, gather materials, and transport supplies to work area.
- Perform a variety of cleaning tasks including:
b. Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and shampooing carpets.
c. Spot cleaning walls, windows, and doors.
d. Dusting and sanitizing furniture, shelves, and woodwork.
e. Emptying wastebaskets and rearranging furniture.
f. Daily cleaning and disinfecting of bathrooms, including floors, fixtures, and walls.
- Prepare rooms for new occupants, ensuring they are tourready at all times.
Provide Resident Privacy and Room Preparation:
- Ensure residents' privacy is respected during cleaning duties.
- Prepare rooms for new occupants according to prescribed procedures, ensuring they are tourready at all times.
- Perform any other assigned duties as needed.
Who You Are:
- You are compassionate and dedicated to meaningful work that supports seniors in living life fully
- You are detailedoriented and have and have strong customer service skills and ability to effectively communicate with residents and staff.
What you need to know:
- You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit
- You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check
- All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Criminal Records Check. Applicable to British Columbia applicants.
