Description

Metis Child, Family & Community Services (MCFCS)
Agency is a mandated child and family services agency with the responsibility to administer and manage culturally appropriate community-based child protection and support services for Metis and Inuit people in Manitoba. Metis Child, Family and Community Services and our entire Métis CFS System is evolving and shifting our practices to be ready for the exciting changes that will be coming as a result of the new Federal Act. We have launched and expanded on some very important initiatives that have benefitted those who need assistance to be able to move forward in their lives in a better, healthier way. The continued work of our Metis Community Addiction Response Team Program (Metis CART) which provides assistance and mentoring for parents struggling with addictions in ways that will allow their children to live with them safely. Our Metis Connect Program has seen great success connecting children and youth to their extended families and community as well as making it possible for parents to get the extra support they need to go home safely with their babies at birth and/or reunify safely with their children again. We believe in planning around the kitchen table rather than the board room table. This has also allowed our agency to expand own Kinship Care program while meeting with families. Come join our progressive agency to work alongside families with our All My Relations model of practice. We offer competitive wages, comprehensive pension and benefits, support continuing education, hybrid work environment to name a few reasons to come join our family.

For this Volunteer opportunity, Metis Child Family and Community Services will pay mileage for the kilometers driven from home and back and a $25 monthly reimbursement toward your cell phone.

These funds are paid as non taxable reimbursements.

Currently the Agency is looking for Volunteer Drivers to transport within Winnipeg, Interlake, and Eastman areas.
