Principle Accountabilities:

  • Perform Customer Due Diligence (CDD) activities for Retail Business Banking (RBB) customers (first time file reviews, trigger events, compliance reviews) within stipulated SLAs ensuring that operational controls are met in the areas of documentation, core banking system records, CDD completion, tax transparency and financial crime controls.
  • Identify cases where additional investigation is required which may include escalation to Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) or other appropriate teams in line with applicable policy.
  • Maintain, action and utilize remediation related tools and systems.
  • Perform CDD reviews on Existing to Bank customers to remediate and/or update Know-YourCustomer ("KYC") information and review customer's account usage and activities, for respective mitigation and/ or escalation if any financial crime risks ("FCR") red flags are identified.
  • Continually reassess and ensure operational risks are minimized, internal controls are adhered to and regulatory and compliance requirements are met
  • Review processes for effectiveness, identifying opportunities for efficiency and productivity improvements while ensuring that SLA's and quality standards are adhered to
  • Work on shortterm projects/assignments with primary focus on quality.
Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Business or related field preferred
  • Minimum of two years proven and progressive operational experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Canadian French
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven experience in stakeholder management
  • Ability to manage in an environment with large volumes, quick turnaround and multiple deadlines
  • Previous experience with the Bank's CRT platform would be an asset
  • Ability to quickly become proficient in reading and interpreting required validation documentation including COVR searches, Incorporation Certificates, Articles of Incorporation, Partnership Agreements, Trust Deeds and Worldcheck search results
  • Business Structure knowledge
  • Self motivated with excellent organization and time management skills
