Job Summary:


Working with a talented team, the Production Supervisor will support the Production Manager in achieving the required production quotas, cost per ton targets while striving to improve productivity and profitability by identifying opportunities for improvement.

Provide leadership, planning, direction, coordination, and implementation strategies, and processes to develop a high-performance company culture that maximizes productivity, ensures quality, fosters continuous improvement, and focuses on goal attainment

Assist financial department with matters including inventories, work-in progress estimation, monthly closing and other administrative issues as necessary

Participate in the preparations and review of monthly production forecasts

Monitor and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPI's), focusing on continuous improvement of the process. Regularly communicate results to the production team, recognizing & maintaining positive trends and taking actions to revert negative trends

  • Update operational procedures, standard work and work instructions, leading the production team in continuous improvement activities that strive to improve utilization and overall cost
  • Continually improve the knowledge base and performance effectiveness of the company by participation in the planned execution trials on alternate materials, methods or equipment that will assist in reducing costs

Experience/Competencies:

Relevant Post-Secondary Education

Previous experience in manufacturing management or supervision

LEAN fundamentals - 5S, Standard Work, TPM,, GEMBA, Structured Problem Solving, OEE. Kaizen, Material Flow, Kanban

Communication Skills
