Role and Responsibilities

Your challenges

Test Project Engineer: develop requirements with the client; develop test plan; write/code tests; execute tests (on avionics benches, integrated benches, full simulator and the aircraft); report anomalies; software qualification before deployment on CF18 fleet.
Innovative and captivating projects that optimize the operational effectiveness of the CF18.

Among others:

improve performance indicators of missile and new GPS and LASER guided bombs, develop GPS navigation, integrate new infrared detector, integrate new MIDS data transmission system, etc.

Must work with operational specialists (CF18 pilots).
Possibility of supporting the Canadian Armed Forces on the ground during flight exercises (Bold Quest, Maple Flag, etc.).
Work will be performed mostly in Mirabel (occasionally in Saint-Laurent).

Your strengths

Bachelor of engineering.
02 years of professional experience.
C, C++ or C# programming, an asset.
Knowledge of aeronautics and/or avionics and/or testing, an asset.
Experience in development and/or integration and/or in the realtime testing of embedded software, an asset.
Knowledge of commercial or military aircraft systems operation, avionics systems, testing procedures, Integrated Test Facilities or simulators, an asset.
Ability to work on a team and interact with different multidisciplinary groups.

Operational requirements

CAE employees must be able to meet the requirements of the Canada Controlled Goods Program (CGP), and in certain cases, ITAR requirements.
Must be eligible to obtaining and maintaining the government of Canada's "Reliability" status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance.
Main work location is not accessible via public transportation. A car is needed.
