Description

Responsibilities:

Conduct auctions and liquidation sales for various types of excess industrial machinery
Market and advertise items for sale
Acquire mailing lists and other lists of potential biders
Prepare and organize auction items for display and bidding
Provide accurate descriptions and information about auction items
Engage with bidders and encourage active participation in the auction process
Manage the bidding process, including accepting bids and determining winning bids
Maintain accurate records of auction transactions and sales
Coordinate with clients to understand their needs and requirements for the auction event
Advertise and promote upcoming auctions to attract potential bidders

Skills:

Strong public speaking and communication skills
Excellent knowledge of auction procedures and practices
Ability to assess the value of items and determine appropriate starting bids
Proficient in conducting auctions using various platforms or software systems
Detailoriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong negotiation skills to maximize sales revenue
Ability to work well under pressure in a fastpaced environment
Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards related to auctions
