    Room Attendant
    You are at the heart of the hotel where first impression is everything As a Room Attendant, you will take ownership of guest rooms, ensuring that our guests are provided with a clean, comfortable space, and be a part of creating a memorable experience for them.

  • What you will be doing:

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Clean all assigned guestrooms to standards set by The Fairmont Palliser including: dusting, making beds, soiled linen removal from rooms, and retrieval of clean linen from linen closets, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning, inside window cleaning, replenish rooms with supplies
  • Sign master keys in and out daily
  • Stocking of linen carts
  • Stocking of Guest Room Mini-bars
  • Proper usage of cleaning products including wearing all required personal protective equipment
  • Update and record all cleaned rooms
  • Return and properly tag all lost and found articles in the Housekeeping Office
  • Report necessary maintenance items
  • Following all training provided on Safe Work Practices and job procedures to ensure a safe, environment for all guests and colleagues
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies
  • Report any repairs or maintenance required in rooms promptly to the Housekeeping Office
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications

    Physical aspects of position include but not limited to:

  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
  • Physically capable of performing duties which involve repetitive bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling and lifting of heavy objects.
  • Must be able to safely operate motorized HOSTAR car
  • Your experience and skills include:

  • Warm and caring personality; previous housekeeping experience is an asset
  • Ability to anticipate and focus attention on guest needs, being professional and welcoming
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English both written and verbal; strong organizational and time-management skills

    Your team and working environment:

    Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
