    Description
    We are hiring for a Geotechnical Engineer (Mining Rock Mechanics) at our North Bay, Ontario office.
    Knight Piésold is a specialized global engineering consulting firm with over a century of industry experience.

    An ideal candidate for this position will have a bachelor's or graduate degree in Geological or Mining Engineering.

    Candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in rock mechanics and the ability to communicate fluently in English.

    This position may include opportunities for domestic and international travel to meet the needs of our clients.

    A graduate degree in rock mechanics, experience in the consulting industry or an operating mine, experience with numerical modelling and the ability to communicate in Spanish or French are all considered assets.

    Planning, coordination and implementation of geomechanical site investigations
    Numerical modelling and analyses including stability assessments for open pit slopes and/or underground excavations
    Project management and coordination

    We place an emphasis on developing practical solutions to meet our Client's needs, and preference will be given to individuals with excellent communication and interpersonal skills in addition to strong technical competence.

    Bonus days off and paid time off during office closure between December 25th and January 1st
