    Position Details

    What You Will Do

  • Meet with business stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts to identify, clarify, document, and communicate business systems requirements
  • Create Business Analysis artifacts such as BRD's, User Stories, Use Case Scenerios, Definition of Done, Acceptance Criteria, process flows, impact analyses and other artifacts as required
  • Prototype potential solutions for business process re-design, provide trade-off information and suggest recommended course(s) of action
  • Actively participate in / lead scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning sessions, scrums, sprint reviews, retrospectives and backlog refinement sessions
  • Advocate for and reinforce best practices and standards to promote a comprehensive and consistent business analysis practice with the organization, recommend enhancements to current process
  • Supervise the progress of in-sprint stories to ensure targets and deadlines are met, and keep Project Manager up to date on work activities, risks and issues.
  • Guide stories through the SDLC, oversee QA and UAT testing, and obtain story sign-off
  • Perform system configuration
  • Who You Are

  • Bachelor's Degree in quantitative/analytical discipline
  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Business Analyst / Business System Analyst
  • Solid insurance domain knowledge (P&C, Personal and Commercial Auto, Trucking)
  • Worked in a related field for minimum 3 years in a brokerage, claims, underwriting or IT function
  • Your are drive to excel and to enhance your professional development within the business analysis domain (candidates with CBAP or PMI-PBA preferred)
  • Experience working in Agile and hybrid environments
  • Excellent English written and verbal communications and presentation skills
  • French language can asset
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Disciplined and self-motivated, with ability and interest in working independently and as part of a team
  • Strong MS Office (Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint), basic SQL an asset
  • Proven track-record of taking ownership of tasks and demonstrated leadership
