- Identify problems and issues regarding quality of the products.
- Measure and verify functions of "first off" production samples in the beginning of new orders as required.
- Use dimensional measurements and different measuring tools and/or devices (caliper, measure tape, scale, Colour-meter, Impact tester).
- Identify and reduce production errors with thorough inspections and test of in-process products.
- Educate and train production team on Quality standards and methods of inspection.
- Interpret blueprints and engineering documents to determine quality requirements.
- Provide timely feedback to manufacturing if non-conforming product was identified.
- Documenting / reporting non-conformance product and generate non-conformance reports (NCR) and Quality alerts in accordance with company policy of non-conforming materials.
- Maintain product quality documentation in compliance with established processes and procedures.
- Perform calibration for measuring tools and/or devices.
- Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following company's standards and procedures; may be involved in safety committees or initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Post-Secondary education in a related field.
- One (1) year of experience in a quality control or Quality assurance, preferably within a plastic manufacturing environment preferred.
- Proficient in Outlook and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 Standards is an asset.
- Must be able to work continental 12 HR shifts.
- Assertive, comfortable communicating with various types of individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Must be self-motivated, able to work independently as well as in a team and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
- Detail-oriented and analytical decision maker.
