What you'll be doing:

Building and executing a business plan for alternative retail methods (such as an online store), integrating all 13 of our retail outlets across the province.
Creating a demographic profile of online shoppers.
Generating business to business leads.
Creating brand awareness in the community.
Creating media and grass roots connections within the local thrift community.
Investigating and developing low cost, high profile marketing opportunities for Goodwill that leverage budget dollars and sponsorship opportunities.
Assisting with innovative content development for public website.
Developing new events, maintaining, organizing and managing existing special events from concept to completion, ensuring they operate smoothly, efficiently, and generating maximum revenue and exposure.
Conducting research, making site visits, finding resources, and negotiating for space contract to make decisions about event possibilities.
Supporting the implementation of community relations strategies including partnerships and donations programs.

What you bring to the table:

Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Business (Marketing, Operations, Retailing), Communications, or Interior Decorating.
Previous experience working with the public in a professional setting.
Excellent organizational skills.
A valid Class 5 Driver's License with the ability to operate a Cube Van.
Creative and innovative ideas to boost brand awareness in the community.
The ability to work both in a team setting as well as alone in an unsupervised environment.
High energy and a drive to succeed and meet goals.
Excellent sales/persuasion skills
The ability to work weekends, holidays, and various shifts.
Must be eligible to work in Canada.
Deliver amazing customer service by going above and beyond for all Goodwill customers.
Demonstrate teamwork and engage fellow Team Members in contributing to Goodwill's mission & core purpose.
Maintain an open and honest attitude while making moral decisions.
Recognize the great efforts of fellow Team Members through genuine recognition activities.
Contribute to a welcoming & accepting work environment by showing respect at all times.
