ACCOMMODATIONSJOB OVERVIEW**
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES - Monitor trends and developments of strategic importance to the energy sector.
- Conduct industry research and develop business intelligence summaries to support key decision makers.
- Support OPG's strategic plan and growth plan, including the analysis of potential strategic partnerships, mergers and acquisitions and investments.
- Support OPG's innovation strategy through the identification and assessment of strategic investment opportunities.
- Support various business development initiatives and projects.
- Support project management activities, such as cost and schedule updates, business case approvals, documentation/drawings transfers, gathering, recording and implementing lessons learned.
- Support financial modelling of new business development opportunities.
- Develop briefing materials for senior leadership on any of the above matters, as required.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to help drive business development initiatives.
EDUCATION
- Minimum completion of
1st
term of a fulltime Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. A finance or engineering background would be an asset.
QUALIFICATIONS - Enrolled in fulltime graduate
- Have a minimum average of 70% cumulative GPA.
- Returning to fulltime studies in the same program following the completion of the work term OR requiring the work term to graduate
- Achieve and maintain a valid security clearance.
- Expertise in financial modelling and an ability to keep up to date with external market trends.
- Strong research, communication, analysis & collaboration skills as well as good foundational knowledge of the energy sector in Ontario.
- Demonstrable capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
