Office Assistant's main duties are as follows:
- preparing documents for scanning.
- checking the quality of the scanned documents.
- shredding the scanned documents.
Responsibilities:
- Document Prepping: Prepare documents for scanning by removing staples, paperclips, sticky notes and straighten bends or creases in the documents.
- Document Scanning: Scan each document in the files, including doublesided pages and save in a digital format within the network file system.
- Quality Control: Checks the quality of scanned documents to ensure the documents are scanned, accurately, and a clear quality image is captured.
- Scanned Document Storage: Ensures each scanned file is properly named and saved to the correct client file network drives.
- File Retention: After scanning, keep all original paper documents as per instructions from Supervisor

- File Destruction: Shred all file documents that are not required to be kept in paper format as per the retention policy.
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience.
- Postsecondary education an asset.
- Strong communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a professional demeanor.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills with ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
- Proven ability to work in a team environment and/or independently with mínimal supervision.
- Good computer skills with basic level proficiency with Outlook, MS Word, and Excel.
- Highly motivated and flexible.
Where permitted by law, LifeWorks employees must be fully immunized to access a LifeWorks office or customer premises.
