United Truss is a Truss Manufacturing Plant in Innisfil, just off of Hwy 400 and we are looking for
Forklift Operators

Required Skills:


  • Forklift Experience
  • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
  • Able to deal with people helping out wherever needed making sure the company succeeds and attains goals.
  • Professional at all times when dealing with employees, customers & outside delivery services.

Duties and Responsibilities

Truss Packaging-Stacker

  • Review truss list and preplan for truss stacks for stacker
  • Removing trusses from stacker area when they are ready
  • Sort trusses per job and order to keep the finished product organized.
  • Band and paint job number/job reference on finished truss package.
  • Makes visual inspections as to truss quality.
  • Bring broken trusses to the attention of the production manager.

Staging

  • Arranges finished product packages in yard according to availability of yard space.
  • Stage product return in designated area until they will be processed

Truck Loading and Unloading

  • Operates lift truck to load delivery trucks, customers and receive incoming product

EWP Orders

  • Package materials as required for orders and to build packages to fit truck as require for shipping as required
  • Cutting with Chainsaw (if authorized)

Putting Staged Stock Away

  • As assigned take staged incoming products and store in appropriate place

Inventory

  • Counting of product (lumber lifts etc.).

Waste removal

  • Dump metal waste hoppers as needed.

Returns

  • Store and manage product returns until time to process and ensure proper paperwork

Housekeeping

  • Maintain a tidy safe yard picking up debris for cleanliness and safety

Customer Service

  • Help customers as they enter the yard (loading, unloading or assisting them with whatever they need)

Health and Safety

  • Work in a safe manner and follow all policies and procedures
