Overview:

Big Fish Games is investing in building a world class game development and publishing business. To do so requires the right mix of talent, creativity, and technology to make it all work.

As the Vice President, CTO for Big Fish Games you will be a part of the Big Fish Games senior leadership team, reporting to the President of Big Fish Games, overseeing Platform, Cloud, SDK, Unity and Automation engineering.

In this role you will own the strategic decisions related to software investments, engineering practices and development workflow to support our game development and publishing services.

You will oversee the effectiveness of our technology resources and modernize our systems. You will be a change agent and a champion for internal, external and player stakeholders.

You have demonstrated an intuitive sense of customer focus as well as a passion for nurturing talent and developing and training the next generation of senior leadership within the company.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a senior software engineering professional to join an innovative and fast-moving games company.

What You'll Do:

Talent Management to build and maintain a worldclass engineering organization.
Project Management to lead the delivery of large and complex projects across the business units and in partnership with other engineering leaders across the broader Aristocrat organization.
Priority Management to articulate the priority of work items across your own teams and in partnerships with other parts of the organization to maintain existing systems as well as deliver new features for players.
Quality Management to lead effective design, architecture and code reviews that set a standard for the engineering organization as to developing longterm and flexible solutions.
Investment Management to drive ROI in build versus buy decisions and in the technical diligence of 3rdparty partners.
Strategy Management to develop a longterm technical strategy that aligns with organizational objectives. You map business goals to appropriate technology investments. Your decisions have bottomline impact on the business and its competitive position.

What We're Looking For:

A people first leader with a minimum of 12+ years of relevant engineering experience
7+ years of experience as a people manager, preferrable leading leaders
Significant experience within the video game or similar high velocity online industry
Global Leadership Experience
Knowledge of latest technological advances that could benefit the organization
Demonstrated effective communication and change management
Commercial acumen to deliver results in a fastpaced environment
Demonstrated ability to coach and influence others
Excellent organizational skills, including an ability to manage multiple projects to tight deadlines
High degree of initiative, problem solving, and effective decisionmaking abilities
