Job Description:

The Associate Product Manager can either work from our Dayton, NJ office or Mississauga, ON, Canada.

You will work to identify new opportunities and improvements in our current product offering, as well as help shape our next generations of products.

You will work closely with global product teams, engineering, sales, marketing and project services to ensure business goals and customer satisfaction goals are achieved.

• Define the product roadmap for the Building Controls portfolio.
• Work proactively with project channel personnel to capture market requirements.
• Conducting thorough benchmarks of competitive products.
• Work with other Somfy Product Managers to align roadmaps where applicable.
• Deliver product requirements with prioritized features and corresponding justification.
• Ensure needs are communicated to local and international development teams.
• Work with Project Manager to ensure local developments are executed on schedule.
• Run beta and pilot programs with earlystage products and samples.
• Complete product database entries specific to your product range.
• Work with Marketing Communications to develop effective launch plans.
• Sales enablement work independently and with internal teams to develop and deliver effective trainings, presentations and product demonstrations.
• Streamline your existing product line to be more efficient and effective in meeting the market need and to maximize profit and sales.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business, commerce, engineering or computer science or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of proven professional experience in engineering, project management, marketing, sales and/or technical services.
• Proven ability to influence crossfunctional teams without formal authority.
• Interpersonal skills and strong verbal skills, both verbal and written, to effectively understand and express complex issues and solutions.
• Passion and interest in technology and how it can improve people's lives.
