Role Profile


Collective Arts is searching for a results-focused controller to get financial reporting up to date and support the company going forward.


The Headline:

We are interested in hiring a Controller to support the business.

This role will report to the CEO and will be responsible for cleaning up and getting financial reporting up to date, supporting the team in training, getting ERP issues resolved in a timely manner.

This position will lead the accounting and finance function working out of our Hamilton location and be responsible for the management of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, fixed asset, and production accounting.


A typical day as a Controller includes:

  • Lead and manage the month-end close process
  • Work with ERP specialist to resolve remaining system issues
  • Prioritize cash flow decisions on a weekly basis
  • Coordinate with CEO on a capital raise and rebuild process
  • Train and support accounting team
  • Reconcile and cleanup accounts, as necessary
  • Fostering the professional growth of the finance team at Collective Arts
  • Assisting with oversight and acting as a sounding board for new company initiatives and growth plans
  • University degree with CPA designation
  • Strong technical accounting
  • Fast learner
  • Agile and adaptable
  • Experience leading and managing teams
  • Strong business acumen with proficiency in accounting and operations
  • Experience in Consumer-Packaged Good Industry
  • Financial Agility, with the ability to communicate across all level of the organization
  • Can Do, Grit, Growth Mindset and Ownership attitude is critical to this role
  • Excellent problemsolving skills
  • ERP knowledge, preferably SAP
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills
