COMPANY SUMMARY

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
To complete needed tasks on the factory floor to produce gelatin.


RESPONSIBILITY FOR WORK OF OTHERS
None


BUSINESS COMMUNICATION:


SUPERVISION REQUIRED:


  • Daily supervision is required to assign tasks for the shift and monitor work quality.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:


  • High School Diploma, or equivalent schooling.

TRAINING AND SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:


  • None.

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:


  • Familiarity in working with stainless steel process equipment.
  • Experience working in the food, pharma, or beverage industry is an asset.
  • 1year previous Sanitation experience is a plus (Using cleaning chemicals, pressure hoses, etc.)

TRAVEL REQUIRED:


  • None

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Available to work 12hour shifts, days, nights, and weekends on a rotating shift schedule.
  • Collect processing samples.
  • Load/unload trucks and bins.
  • Operate forklift (forks & clamps) throughout the facility.
  • Identify, apply, store chemicals throughout the facility.
  • Clean equipment and building.
  • Add chemicals to tanks during CIP.
  • Trash disposal.
  • Operate pumps, valves, and pneumatic presses.
  • Complete processing paperwork.
  • Data entry in a company database.
  • Follow company policies.
  • Must follow food safety regulations
  • Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:


  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:


  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but hearing protection may be required depending on the department where the employee is assigned.
