Chemical Systems Research Technician
We are looking for a talented
Chemical Systems Research Technician to join our team specializing in Hydrogen Technologies for our
New Power Business in
Mississauga,
ON.
- Performs routine analyses using Materials Engineering tools and standard instruments and test equipment, while positively impacting the organization's performance.
- Operates analytical instruments and equipment and performs physical analysis in support of production and nonproduction engineering, quality, and manufacturing groups.
- Prepares samples and specimens for testing using standard laboratory techniques, procedures, or work instructions.
- Acquires and interprets data and documents results; provides written results in a laboratory or technical report format when appropriate.
- Performs routine calibrations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repair of instruments and equipment.
- Coordinates the collection, transportation, and documentation of chemical waste disposal. Works with and trains apprentices, trainees, and technicians.
- High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
- Experience with physical characterization of materials. Understanding of viscometry, microscopy, stress/strain measurement techniques preferred.
- Previous experience with fabrication of MEAs and rolltoroll process development is preferred.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
