Chemical Systems Research Technician

We are looking for a talented
Chemical Systems Research Technician to join our team specializing in Hydrogen Technologies for our
New Power Business in
Mississauga,
ON.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Performs routine analyses using Materials Engineering tools and standard instruments and test equipment, while positively impacting the organization's performance.
Operates analytical instruments and equipment and performs physical analysis in support of production and nonproduction engineering, quality, and manufacturing groups.
Prepares samples and specimens for testing using standard laboratory techniques, procedures, or work instructions.
Acquires and interprets data and documents results; provides written results in a laboratory or technical report format when appropriate.
Performs routine calibrations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repair of instruments and equipment.
Coordinates the collection, transportation, and documentation of chemical waste disposal. Works with and trains apprentices, trainees, and technicians.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
Experience with physical characterization of materials. Understanding of viscometry, microscopy, stress/strain measurement techniques preferred.
Previous experience with fabrication of MEAs and rolltoroll process development is preferred.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
