As a
Assistant Junior Chemist:

Polymers and Elastomers, you will take pride in knowing you helped create quality products that are enjoyed by customers internationally.

The R&D department operates on 2 shifts
- days & afternoons, from Monday-Friday. Some flexibility may be required.


This position will require line training on our compounding and injection molding line before moving into our Research & Development dept.

to ensure thorough understanding of the processes and procedures from start to finish.

Your Responsibilities:


How does this look? You will be:

  • Assist in developing new products, materials, and processes.
  • Support business development related to science and technology activities.
  • Leadership role in quality assurance processes:
  • Testing of all materials that may be used in the mixing process.
  • Coordinate the mixing and testing of all new materials.
  • Operate all lab and plant equipment.
  • Assist in conducting studies of new ingredients and compounds.
  • Prepare reports based on test results.
  • Interact with compounders, technical staff, lab personnel, and production associates to ensure procedures and tests being performed are meeting requirements.
  • Other duties as needed.

Your Qualifications:


  • Reliable transportation, excellent attendance.
  • Timemanagement skills and positive attitude.
  • Good physical stamina:
  • Standing for the duration of your shift.
  • Working in the heat.
  • Fastpaced and highpressure work environment.
  • Able to work as part of a team but also independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and problemsolving skills, basic math skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry.
  • Prior experience in rubber manufacturing.
  • Polymer and Elastomer experience.
  • 13 years of professional experience in the plastic, rubber or chemical industry preferred.
