    Allstate Canada has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual with a passion for Workplace Culture, Health and Wellness and a background in Health and Safety and/or Wellness work programs. We are actively looking to hire a Health, Safety and Wellness Specialist. You will work closely with the Health Safety and Wellness Consultant to design, promote and administer health, safety and wellness learnings, offerings, activities, events, and communications. The ideal applicant is motivated, insightful, embraces change, and thrives on teamwork and the open exchange of ideas.

    Accountabilities:

    • Research and analyze data internally and externally to understand the Health, safety and Wellness needs of our workforce, current and future state, so that we may design and offer the most relevant programs.
    • You will be task with planning the annual program calendar, ensure alignment to the four wellness pillars, plan programs, events and learning throughout the year, including Communications plans and delivery modes.
    • Curate Wellness content and resources from our strategic partnerships and other trusted wellness sources
    • Administer Programs, including tracking health and safety certification, handle registration and certification.
    • Schedule and participate in Joint Health and Safety Committee meetings.
    • Manage the Health Safety Wellness content sites.
    • Be an active member of the Joint Health and Safety committee
    • Work closely with the other Culture Workstream (learning DEI) to align programming and support Culture initiatives.

    Qualifications

    • Education: Minimum post-secondary education in relevant field
    • Experience: 5 years Business Experience, HR experience preferred
    • Strong communication and presentation/facilitation skills
    • 1 to 2 years previous experience in Health and Wellness
    • Joint Health & Safety Committee certificate is a requirement or willingness to obtain
    • Health and Safety certification such as First Aid, Mental Health First Aid
    • Ability to work independently and take on projects/work assignments with limited supervision
    • Project management experience & skill, including ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize and organize
    • Ability to establish and leverage relationships with internal and external partners.
    • Creative thinking and problem solving
    • General understanding of HR strategy, policies, and integration points
    • Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite

    Bonus Qualification:
