This is a 16-month co-op program that will begin in May 2023.

What you will do:


  • Assist the Nutrien GeoServices & Land Team with a variety of geological tasks that directly support Nutrien's potash mining operations.
  • Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide geological support at both the mine and regional scales.
  • Assist with the execution of surfacebased potash exploration drill programs.
  • Core sampling, testing, analysis, and reporting.
  • Wireline log analysis and interpretation (picking geologic markers, etc.).
  • Preparation of technical reports and presentations.
  • Installation and management of surface and underground geotechnical equipment
  • Assist with geophysical survey acquisition such as ground penetrating radar (GPR), electromagnetics (EM), and seismic.
  • Occasionally work in Nutrien's underground potash mines.
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Some longer than normal workdays may be required.

What you will bring:


  • Completed second or third year of a degree in Geology or Geological Engineering (or eqivalent) from an accredited university.
  • Superior interpersonal, organizational, communication, writing, and computer skills will be required.
  • Past industry experience in potash, mining, or oil and gas would be considered an asset but is not necessary.
